services and Plans

Here’s the Deal: With every plan, you get access to me as your on-call Sports Nutritionist. I will be on hand to answer your questions and provide the knowledge and guidance to help you when you need it.

I only take on a small number of clients at any one time on one cost-effective Ready-to-Race plan. Whether you want to fuel an Ironman, 100-mile ultra, cycle tour, cross-channel swim, a multi-day race; or reduce gut distress, improve recovery, create a race plan, or simply improve your nutrition and eating habits - I can help.

“Ready to Race” Ultra, Marathon and Triathlon 6-Session Structured Nutrition Coaching PLAN

Elevate your endurance game with the “Ready to Race” plan, a series of one-to-one nutrition coaching sessions, personalised around your competition goals and ambitions. Each session will focus on the specific areas where you need help, and every session will include a range of resources and tasks to complete - including reviewing and optimising your training diet, effective fuelling, improving recovery, choosing supplements, gut training, hydration tracking and planning, race nutrition prep, race nutrition planning, increasing your practical and scientific knowledge of sports and performance nutrition.

How Does It Work:

Over 6 x 90-minute sessions (more if required/requested) we cover all the key areas you need to enable nutrition to make a positive impact on your health, performance, training adaptation, recovery, and competition success. We cover the key areas of nutrition for performance. Many athletes come to me with specific needs, such as reducing gut distress during competition, improving race fuelling, or enhancing recovery. Therefore, as personalised plan, we can continually adapt and focus more time on the areas we feel are most important for your success.

What We Cover:

We deep dive into your current eating habits and identify areas of best practice, and those that need improvement, to optimise your diet and health. We move on to fuelling training and recovery. Once we have your diet set up, we focus on race nutrition and hydration, building up a plan for competition whilst working on some gut training protocols and hydration planning.

This plan can be taken over a period of 12 months if needed, allowing you time to work on tasks and plans to be race-ready.

Who am i?

I’m Paul. I’m a qualified Sports and Performance Nutritionist, Exercise Physiologist, Uni Lecturer, and PhD Researcher in Ultra Endurance Physiology and Metabolism. I specialise in Ultra-Endurance Nutrition and Physiology. I’ve been trail running for over two decades, competing in my first ultramarathon 20 years ago. In the years since I’ve completed 80+ ultras, and over 150 trail/fell races, road marathons, cycling, ski, and Ironman triathlon events. I’ve competed in races such as UTMB, long-distance challenges such as the Bob Graham Round, and alpine fastpacking expeditions.

This is me travelling hut-to-hut on the Dolomites Alta Via 2 route.

In 2024 my race calendar starts with my first ultramarathon in March. I’m also focussing on more ultra-distance bikepacking events this year.
